Marketing Engagement
Planning and implementation of a pharmaceutical vertical market focus
for an established 70 person Boston area IT services firm. Acelera Group team members
worked with the company to identify and productize the high value portions
of the company's service offerings, and selected and worked with outside providers to develop an integrated marketing campaign
(collateral, website, direct mail campaign, public relations, etc) that
are focusing the company's energies on their primary vertical market.
Market Validation
Market validation for Boston-based IT services firm struggling with poor
sales performance. We interviewed current and prospective clients in the
target space and identified a series of significant sales inhibitors. The
company subsequently decided not to target this particular segment due to
those sales inhibitors.
Revenue/Sales Diagnostic
A large, publicly traded software company hired us to diagnose the cause
of declining revenues. We interviewed most of the US sales organization
and provided our findings and recommendations back to senior management.
Significant changes were made as a result of our findings and, while the
company still struggles with weak revenue growth, it has made significant
strides in rebuilding its position.
Customer Service Development
We
worked with the U.S. headquarters of a major international airline to plan
and implement the expansion of their customer service capabilities for
their frequent flyers. We worked with the airline to develop the process
and methodology of their online customer service capabilities, developed
the training for their customer service organization and delivered the
training to this group. The airline's "best" clients, their frequent
flyers, gained an important additional channel of communication to the
airline, customer satisfaction increased, and costs declined.
Services Refocus
Faced with declining revenues, a Boston-based IT services firm in the
financial sector engaged us to refine their services focus. Based on
feedback from the various constituents (clients, sales organization,
prospects, management team), we simplified and repositioned the company's
core services offerings.
Business Model Revamp
Business model and service revamp for a
Boston area Internet startup, successfully
moving the company from a consumer focus to a business-to-business infrastructure
focus. We conducted the market research, the positioning exercises and
competitive analysis needed to reposition the company. We created the new
marketing collateral, coordinated the rebuilding of the corporate website
and worked with an external PR agency. We then worked with several of the
pilot accounts as the new services were rolled out.
Market Planning
Market entry planning facilitation for a New England $100M insurance brokerage firm. We
worked with the insurance brokerage firm, its supplier and other
interested parties to plan the market entry into the Life Sciences
industry.
Internet Strategy
Internet strategy and technology implementation for a Boston area medical
supply house. We worked with this supply house to plan and build their
Internet presence, and worked with an outside technology provider to plan and
develop the second phase of the rollout.
Market Entry
Product viability testing and marketing strategy development for an emerging
California based technology company in the database appliance market. For this company,
we developed the revenue portion of the business plan and conducted a
series of positioning exercises.
Sales Pipeline Expansion
Strategic planning facilitation for a New England based publishing services company. This
company needed to expand its sales pipeline and to establish more
comprehensive marketing processes. We facilitated a series of planning
sessions and worked with the client to implement the resulting action
plan. The pipeline was dramatically expanded.
