  • To win in this market, you have to do a number of things well. Winning is not about hitting the home run -- doing the one thing that brings home the major score. Instead, it's about doing many little things well. In this issue, we explore some of the many little things that make partnerships successful.

    Managing Successful Partnerships

    Most partnerships are partnerships on paper...two companies court one another and discuss opportunities. Then, as soon as the partnership is finalized, each moves on to other activities and the incipient relationship founders.

    For a partnership to be successful, each party must work hard to ensure the success of the partnership. Once the partnership is finalized and the contract is signed, the real work begins.

    A good partnership, just like a good marriage, is strongest when both parties work on the relationship (just ask me how I know!). In our article entitled Managing Successful Partnerships, we provide ten tips for successful partnerships.

    Tip #2 just may keep you from getting fired.
