To win in this market, you have to do a number of things well.
Winning is not about hitting the home run -- doing the one thing that brings
home the major score. Instead, it's about doing many little things well. In
this issue, we explore some of the many little things that make partnerships
successful.
Managing Successful Partnerships
Most partnerships are partnerships on paper...two companies court one
another and discuss opportunities. Then, as soon as the partnership is
finalized, each moves on to other activities and the incipient relationship
founders.
For a partnership to be successful, each party must work hard to ensure
the success of the partnership. Once the partnership is finalized and the
contract is signed, the real work begins.
A good partnership, just like a good marriage, is strongest when both
parties work on the relationship (just ask me how I know!). In our article
entitled Managing Successful Partnerships, we provide ten tips for
successful partnerships.
Tip #2 just may keep you from getting fired.
And tip #4 is good for at least a 20% increase in partner revenues!
